Hanging on startup

Hi,

I have just updated my graphics card from an ATI Radeon 8500 (128M

to a GeForce 4 Ti 4400 (128M

, and whenever I try to run Freelancer I get stuck at a black screen and end up having to push the reset button...

I tried re-installing, then I uninstalled and installed twice and the same thing still happnens...

Any ideas or suggestions?

must be a driver problem
i used to have the same issues
while using the newer version of drivers i get the black screen
so i downgrade my driver
now it works fine

i am using a geforce 2 mx 200 for my vid card

What Detonator version are you using now? I installed the very latest thinking thye would be the greatest...

i am really not sure what version it is
cause it came in the cd with the card
but in the properties it says 4.12.01
