scratchy sounds

I can play for about an hour or so, but then there is a horrible static noise that drowns out everything else. Any idea what it might be?

System specs would help, but I would bet that you have an SBlive or Audigy as a soundcard. If I'm right, that's the problem. Get the latest drivers, and turn off your Midi, if you can. (you cannot if you have an Audigy).

Yeah, its a SB Live. Thanks for the tips. I've stayed away from creative drivers since they always seem to cause problems.

if u expierence these troubles again,keep in mind there are always sounds patches out for the game right now, even if ur sounds works, an optimal sound is better
