Mouse trouble

I've just started Freelancer and I find that as soon as the game starts my mouse seems to get a mind of it's own!Even in the set-up stage it seems to lag or over react and any sort of battle is out of the question.I've tried different mouse sensitivity settings without success.Has anyone else found this and managed to sort it out ?

I've changed resolution to lowest possible 800x600x16 and this has helped a lot

For the record, I have same graphics card, GeForce2 MX400 and have same exact problem.

Ditto, on the card and problem. Even setting setting to 800X600 didn't seem to help as much as I hoped.

please dont judge the game/devs like that.. they are programmers and no program is fullproof and bugproof, are you a programmer? if you are you'll definitely understand how hard to make a game such as that to work.. Hell im making my own project that i thought could finish in a day took 3 days to fix.. its not easy programming especially you are under time pressure. you can criticize them as you like but they have a decent life ya know.. somtimes its not the poor programming but other sorts of trouble such as poor management, planning and stuff but then again it could be some other infrastructure incomlete.. you never know... unless you ask..

argh.. im never gonna get paid.. goodbye a million credits..
