*FIX* Text Problems

I've got a 132Mb Geforce2 MX 200 graphics and I've tried your method but it doesn't seem to have any effect. my graphics card isn't in the list of the FL config file, and there are no Force Textures in that Nivida section, I would appeciated any help you can offer.

my fx 5200 didnt have this problem, but i had to del the intro movies to play the game.

*takes out old SiS motherboard*

I am currently running anIntel Pentium 4 1.5Ghz with a Nvidia Geforce 2 64Mb.
I am upgrading to an AMD64 2800 at Christmas maybe with 512Mb RAM and having a 128Mb ATI Radeon 9200SE. Will the text work on that?

Hi Guys,

Have you tried running the MSXML3.MSI program from your
Freelancer CD REDIST directory? Hopefully that will fix it. ;-)

Lancer's Reactor a great place!
Had to reformat C:, did it.
Reinstalled Freelancer.
Music works, game works, but menu and in-flight texts are about DOUBLE the normal size.
Tried to follow the advices in this thread, but my 128Mb ATI Radeon 9200 SE is not listed on the video cards list.
Tried to look for those fonts it looks like I'm missing, but couldnt find them neither on the FL cd nor in the Windows XP cd. (used the "Find file" thing,so I don't think i just didnt look in the right folder)
Now I'm asking somebody to please tell me where can i find these fonts? they're,as stated in Venom's post in the first page, AGENCYB.TTF, AGENCYR.TTF and ARIALUNI.TTF
Any help will be just great, and if it'll work I'll be bowing every morning and evening!!!

Do a google search of AGENCYB.TTF, AGENCYR.TTF and ARIALUNI.TTF as in Agencyr font and you get, www.fonts.com they have a lot of fonts available.

MY GOD!!!!! I AM TIRED OF GETTING ERROR MESSAGES REGARDING MY VIDEO CARD, TEH SIS 630/730!
EVERY GAME I TRY TO PLAY FIND SOME KIND OF PROBLEM IN MY VIDEO CARD
(THE HULK, ENTER THE MATRIX, FREELANCER, STAR TREK ARMADA 1&2, NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND, DOOM 3, ETC...)

NONE OF THEM WORK EXCEPT FOR FREELANCER, AND I AM SHURE THAT THERE IS SOME WAY OF FIXING THIS DAMN TEXT PROBLEM, WHERE THERE IS ONLY NEW GAME ON THE MENU, AND THE REST FADES IN AND out.

I have the SiS 630/730 problem as well, and I've bee to Gamefaqs and NT Compatible with this. So far no-body has even bothered to help! Is there ANY GODDAMN way to fix the damn problem?????

A little info on the Sis card -

sis is an XFree86 driver for SiS (Silicon Integrated Systems) video chips. The driver is accelerated, and provides support for colordepths of 8, 16 and 24 bpp. XVideo, Render and other extensions are supported as well.

300 series for SiS300/305, 540 and 630/730

This driver is written by Thomas Winischhofer and is a (nearly) complete re-write of a driver
written for the SiS6326 and SiS530 by Alan Hourihane and others.
It currently supports the following chipsets:
• old series: 5597/5598, 6236/AGP/DVD, 530/620
• 300 series: 300/305, 540, 630/730
• 315 series: 315, 550, 650, 651, M650, 740
• 330 series: 330 ("Xabre", 661FX, M661FX, 741, 760
The driver supports:
• 8/16/24 bits color depth; old series also 15;
• XAA (XFree86 Acceleration Architecture)
• XVideo (Xv)
• Render (XRAND)
• Hardware cursor; 315/330 series: Color HW cursor;
• 6326: TV output
• 300/315/330 series: TV output via Chrontel TV encoders or SiS video bridges
• 300/315/330 series: LCD output via LVDS transmitters or SiS video bridges
• 300/315/330 series: Dual head mode; Xinerama; Merged framebuffer mode;

This card aparently is an older card. You might want to look into a newer one. in the 2003 range of years.

The game start normal, but after the movie of new game, the city are green, no have textured!!!

Have you an updated DirectX 9.0c ? You are probably running on DX 8.x and need to update. Free Download on microsoft.com/downloads
