Any way to turn off limit on Demo?

Anybody found away to turn of the limit set in the demo. It is kind of annoying when you can't get to lvl 2 even. I'm OK with only being able to play in the New York system and jumpgates won't work and it is a demo, but it takes about 30 minuts before you get to the limit in the current demo, and I can't buy the game yet since i live in Norway :-(

there is a mod on the german freelancer site you can find in the links, which "fixes" this.
