Weird Graphics problems.

I have been experiencing so called shadow images. This is something that occurs when there's motion or when Im turning. What happens is objest basically build on eachother when I turn. For example say Im looking at a planet and I turn. I see several of images of the planet overlapping or trailing behind. It very annoying. I have a Sapphire Radeon 9700pro and I e-mailed a tech guy at Sapphire and he said it was most likely a faulty or damaged card. Here is a screenshot that sorta illustrates the problem I have...http://freelancer.portalive.com/gallery ... 138...look at the asteroids in the background that is like what I get only its not nearly as bad as that. This problem decreases when the framerate and refresh rate are around the same so the lowere the refresh rate the less of a problem I have. Turning Vsync on helps a little. Does anyone have a problem like or similar to this?

Can someone please post a response. I need to know before I dish out $300 for a new graphics card. If its a fault of my computer or a fault of the games. Please help me out. All you have to post is Yes I have this problem or No Ive never had this problem.

Well I dont have this Problem, but in another Thread somewhere I read that there are some other guys haveing just the same problem...so it might be some kind of compatibility problem or so....at least u are NOT the only one encountering this problem!!!

what other board or thread. Could you post a link. Alos this doesnt just happen in freelancer but on the desktop and in many other games. Like I said the guy at Sapphire Tech said it was probably my graphics card and not my monitor. He said the card might be defective. Also it might be a heat problem.

I went over to my friends house. He has Freelancer and a Radeon9700pro like me. He had the same thing. He told me it was normal for that to happen whenever there is motion on the screen. Could any Radeon 9700 users please tell me if they are ecperincing this problem

First: Why must you spend 300 dollars for a new card? But if you do, make sure is a GeForce and not a Radeon.

What are the rest of your system specs?

And try new drivers. I believe there is a recent update to them (as in the last few weeks).

Ive got the latest drivers. And why should I buy a Geforce. Its been proven that the Radeon 9700pro is faster than the Ti 4600. Alos my specs are a p4 1.7GHz
