Everywhere I go inhabitants become hostile?!?

For some reason everywhere I go in MP people become hostile for no reason. Is this a bug or what. It pretty much ruined my game. I mean I'd be docking at a friendly place and while I am docking it goes hostile and starts firing on me. Anyone heard of this before?

Look closely at your faction list. Are you hostile to any shipping companies that happen to be passing by wherever you are docking? Many planets/stations are friendly to shipping companies since that's how they get their food/supplies.

If you attempt to battle any friendly, green, or neutral, white, everywhere you go will be a battleground. Not sure if thats your problem but I found out the hard way in MP..Finally had to leave the server.
