Connect button acts dead.

The place to ask for technical help with running the demo or the full game...

Connect button acts dead.

After I connect to global and get list I proceed to connect to a server yet nothing occurs. I have read readme file and have disabled my NIC (only other tcp/ip device) I have tried with no firewall and have reinstalled DX9, same problem. DxDiag reads everything as ok. The connect button acts dead, ill click it and nothing will happen. On password servers, password enrty will popup, ill enter the password and the ok, and same problem...nothing happens.

I would appreciate any help I can get.

All that will do is force it to acknowledge and ping your server upon entering multiplayer server list. I am currently implenmenting that with another server of choice. I am able to get server lists and pings but my connect button literally does nothing.

I have the exact same problem...it doesn't lock up or anything, it almost seems like I am not clicking the Connect button

Well after uninstalling and reinstalling the game I am now having a much more common problem with no known fix...after clicking connect it crashes to the desktop then closes FL and asks to send error report.

My friend is having the exact same problem. I know this topic is 2 years old, but this thread probably has a lot more info than I could offer in a new post. The game works fine, and you can get to the multiplayer server list, but when you try and connect to a server, the "connect" button simply doesn't work. Any ideas?

Hmm, fraid I haven't heard of this one before to be honest. Usually it's a variety of firewall and port settings (see documentation and help files on the freelancer disk).

Anyone got any ideas?
