major gliches... HELP!

I tried driver 40.72 AND I tried disabling sound....neither thing worked! It seems to be based mostly around commodoties....I cant trade commodoties and I cant scan ships that have commodoties on them. i also cant look at the commodoties tab of my inventory! The ship buying crash though....i dont know what that was about. i was actually able to go into the Pittsburgh ship menu and the Battleship Missouri ship menu but when i tried to buy a ship it crahsed! Equipment menus work fine...buying weapons works and all...Its very weird.

I have mostly the same problem. The game looks up frome time to time. It just frezes and makes a sound. The problem occures in MP as well as SP. I have tryed many of the solutions that have been sudgessted here, but nothing works.

My cpu is:
AMD 1,3
GForce 4 Ti 4600
Soundblaster Audigy Player
256 ram
and i use XP
I have allsow installed the latest drivers fore all my hardware and DirectX9 several times...(im mighty sick of it)... reinstalled the game, removed my save games and the beginning movies. What can i do???

Alright....here it goes: After trying everything i could think of and trying all of the suggestions posted here (Thanks guys!) I finally decided to exchange my copy for another one at the store i bought it from..I brought it home...removed all traces of the other one from my system then installed it....WORKS PERFECT!! no crahses or anything...I dont see how that possible but hey! it WORKS NOW! I am so happy...i played it all evening and its sooo awesome! Thanks again for all the posts guys! (maybe now i can actually post ABOUT the game instead of just about my crashes!!)

Hey Wookie -

Before you exchanged your copy for another at the store,
did you try reloading Freelancer completely?

Just wondering, as I have all of your problems and more.
