Global server connection issues

I don't think this has been posted before ( if it has, I missed it - sorry ), but I have periodic issues with connecing to the global FL server using the PR beta. I *have* connected to MP servers before without issues and have been playing on Elite for quite some time now, but every now and then I'll load up FL and it just says "Disconnected from global server, internet games unavailable".

Is the global server going down or something? I don't have a router or anything else that would be causing this problem. Right now, as of 3:40 PM EST the global server is down to me, anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem (I made a post about it a couple topics down). It's been like this for three, maybe four hours I believe.

So I think we can assume the global server is down right now for some reason.. Anyone else care to comment on this issue, though? Getting bored without FL already.

hey tasiin.. yeah i had the same problem at about 2:40 CST.. but now i cannot even access the multiplayer section of my menu.. it is just greyed out as if i wasn't connected to the internet! it does that a lot and i don't know why... it's real annoying

I have been playing on my home server since went down. geuse global server is where menu connects to, so we can see the available servers. Bad part is hop my game got saved when booted me. was on way to base to put on some new guns

Haven't had the problem with the multiplayer tab being greyed out that some people seem to be experiencing, only this issue with the server.
