Multiplayer LAN

I am so hyped up for this game, but i have one question.

If i purchace Freelancer, will i be able to play with 2+ computers on LAN off one CD?

Some games let me do that, and some didn't.

Yes if one comp is the server and the other is running the client software. Client software requires the CD. If you have 3 comps or more, you'll need another CD for each.

I think he's asking if he can run a server on one of them and play with both computers? I think you would need another cd. Am I wrong?

he could use VCDs i guess

What the heck? VCDs? LOL

CD is needed to play the game, but not run the server.

He's asking about playing with two or more computers, not running a server, I think?

You mean on a LAN play between one pc and another pc. You will need two Freelancer CDS since there are two players.

VCDs? What the hey?!! Video Compact Discs? I don't get it...

He means Virtual CD. It is a copy of a CD that is stored on your hard drive and it is accessed like you would a CD ROM. As long as you have the space to store them then it works well normally.

don't you have to make some alterations to installed files to have it recognize your HD as a VCD?

...Just a random thought from a random mind

Umm....no.

Dont talk about this anymore.

VCDs are good if you don't like leaving in CDs to play games, plus it speeds up cd checking (heh). The downside is it takes up a lot of space on your HDD
