Most likely yes...if there's a lot of people on one server then all bets are off...but there should be plenty of other servers that you'd be just fine with on dial-up. Count on it!

The dial-up connection issue is something that we're trying to work on still. It works fine but when there's a heavy load, the dial-up accounts are the first to see the lag. We're still trying to work on why and it doesn't necessarily seem to be the obvious inherent problems with the way packets are handled.

Using a dial-up account to host a server doesn't seem to be in the cards though...sorry. We can still try, but that pipeline just isn't big enough be design.

We have plenty of time to hash out some ideas we have....we need you dial-up people to help test things once it goes retail and bring a big 'ol cup of patience with ya.

from what i've noticed is that FL has an download of 3kb/s and an upload of around 1kb/s while you are multiplaying so a 56k should be able to make it
