Server Issues

my server keeps on crashing for no apparent reason. It is a lan server for two people and and i have configurede it too not be available on the internet anyway when i go to multiplayer and to the list of the servers mine appears and it does display all the news and settings correctly then when i connect it takes and while and then it says the server you are trying to connect to has crashed. I have checked my settings and it shouldn't be anything to do with my firewall or network cards or cables

Because you are running only on LAN, your firewall or router would not interfere. The only thing I can think of is you using mods. If that is the case, deactivate each mod or however many you have and make sure you have the mods on the other machine your playing on. If you have no mods at all, then I suggest you reinstall the game to see if that helps.

I've noticed several occasions when playing on a LAN that the client and the server have issues, if you are constantly having trouble and your sure u have no hardware issues, and/or meet minimum req's for game. try using the 1.1 patch it might fix u up
