Same thing you did in single-player - take missions, trade cargo, buy new ships and equipment and try not to die.

If you haven't logged onto a server yet, pick one off the FL Global list or look around the forum here to see which one interests you. I recommend starting with a server that does not require a player-side mod, for example Boston or 3NET. Be aware that there are server-side mods that make the game different (often harder), for example regenerating shileds on NPCs.

Anyway, log in, create a character and start playing the game. Try to find other players to team up on missions with and trade with, and avoid the ones who are trying to rob and kill you.

Hi Freelancers

Ive recently started up a server called <UK FreelanceServer>. Its based in the UK but not stopping anyone tho.
It runs an IONCROSS FSO mkIV to show up cheaters/modders/hackers without warning. (I think IONCROSS is the best, go JoeBoomz)
Im currently undergoing a recruitment phase. I need ppl to be ServPolice and anyone can start a clan. Im looking for minimum 30 people to make this enjoyable and work so everyone spread the word and plz bring friends.

There are alot of good server out there.

You might want to join one (as stated above) that requires no client mod, nor has strict rules (at least untill you are familier with MP, incase you make a mistake).

If you are not sure where to begin, try PitchBlack. You start with $200,000 credits, and all of the systems are open.

I am also very forgiving when it comes to server rules. Hardly anyone is every banned from PitchBlack, mainly because they dont act up since they like the lattitude myself and the police give them.

I have never been on PitchBlack but it sounds good. I also like my server too. I need ppl to join it. It is aimed at the UK side and any English spoke ppl. It need not ANY client side mods and there is a special space for ppl who want PvP through a jump hole in New York off Manhatten. Thats really all I need to say. My server is called <UK FreelanceServer>, look me up. I am {ServPolice}Chris in the game.
I also DO make acceptions to noobs concerning the strict rules but they [rules need to be in place. It makes for a better tomorrow.
