Servers

I've got a problem with the freeworlds UK server. Yesterday, all was fine, i could play the entire night, no problems. Today, I want to join the server, but, can't find it in my server list. My first idea was that it was offline, but it wasn't, so why does any of you know why he isn't in my list (glitch in the program, or something??).
Does something like gamespy exist for freelancer, where you can just join a server by typing in an IP-number??

If you have access to the flserver program, display in console mode and see the messages. If flserver is trying to connect to the FL global list server you should see several messages mentioning the list server, the last being "Sending game information to list server". This last message means that flserver has contacted the global list server, been recognized as an FL server, has established a connection and is sending the server particulars (IP address, name, etc.). Also this connection with the list server may drop, retry and reconnect at any time depending on your Internet connection. This assumes that the server hardware itself is up and running of course.

If you look at the README.RTF file found in FREELANCER directory of all installations of FL, it describes how to direct connect to a server. You just need the IP address and if not in the 2303-2304 port range, the port the server is on.
