how do you start a server for one? i want to start a LAN server..but i wasn't too clear on that description in the other post...

If you want to start a LAN server so that only you can join, just load up FLServer.exe and then load up FreeLancer. It should show up under LAN games.

thanks!! is there a program so taht you can change starting ships and stuff like that? for instance, lets say i plan to make a server for a group of my friends to play on and i wanna have an account thats like.."THE ADMIN" and i want to change it to something unusual like a battleship or something...how do i do that without just sorta "changing" the skin of the current ship...i tried that ioncross thing and its sorta confusing me O.o...

Unmodded you can only use the regular ships and the Juni Defender. The only way to get Battleships or Cruisers (etc.) is with mods.
