Infrequent Multi-Player

I am very interested in the multi-player aspects of Freelancer, but I am somewhat concerned about not being able to get online to contribute very often or for very long. Is it feasible (and enjoyable) to be an occassional on-line player? If so, do you folks have any recommendations as to how to go about introducing myself to the on-line multiplayer world? Or should I just content myself to play through the SP mods?

Thanks, Tom.

There should be no reason that you can't play occasionally. VERY FEW servers will delete people who do not play frequently, and most of those are run for a different purpose other than the enjoyment by the general public. It's not like Ultima Online where you're going to be left in the dust if you play very little.

True, but most now run with FLSO which deletes players inactive for more than 60 days.
Best not to be THAT infrequent!

Sorry about the double post. Please see my explaination/apology on the other thread. Consider me "set straight."

Thanks for all the help!
