Good plan for fast starting in MP

Here's a plan that seems to be just about the fastest way to rack up cash from a standing start in multiplayer (unmodded.) The general idea of this is if you're entering a mature server, with storage depots unavailable for rep-adjusting and fast cash, but you don't yet have any high-level characters to transfer money over.

Starting on Manhattan, sell batteries/nanobots and buy 17 Luxury Consumer Goods.
Go to Planet New Tokyo, running from any enemies.
Sell the goods, and buy 20 Engine Components.
Go to Planet Denver, and sell the goods.
You should be able to afford a Rhino and 80 Luxury Consumer Goods there.
Now fly to Ainu Depot in Hokkaido, and sell the goods for big bucks ($100k-plus.)
Buy Cardamine, and fly to Roppongi above Planet New Tokyo.
Sell the Cardamine there, and hop over to New Tokyo to buy a Drone.

Now, you have two choices:
Buy Niobium (you should be able to afford 150+), fly to The Ring in Berlin, sell the goods. You should be able to afford a Humpback at New Berlin, and you can get on any of the usual trade runs from there (diamonds to New Tokyo, engine components to Cambridge or Yanagi, etc.)

Or, if you plan to adjust your reputation with the Lane Hackers, buy Engine Components here at New Tokyo to take to Mactan, and buy a Dromedary. Then take Cardamine to Manhattan of course, and you can get on the usual trade routes from there. (One easy way to get the Hackers non-hostile is to bribe the Junkers somewhere. That's cheaper, easier, and hurts your overall rep less than bribing the Hackers themselves.)

Other than pirating/looting/inheriting, this is the fastest way I've yet figured out for moving up through the ranks of the freighter ships quickly. It's faster to get a Rhino by going Manhattan-New Tokyo-Denver than by going all the way to Ainu and back to Manhattan, and it's only a trip and a half from there to a Drone and one more trip to a top-of-the-line freighter.

I accumulated the cash for an Eagle (load up on engine components before heading to FP9) in about 1:50:00 by doing this.

it's about the same time as the 7 mission way...

sell nano/batts nad 1 class 1 weap, buy the class 2 shield and 2 class 2 weaps so u can do a 5k mission... after 1 or 2 missions u have a patriot with only class 3 weaps, then go to kusari space (i didn't had cargo), u may buy here a class 3 shield... so u can do also 20k missions from kusari (but most common is 14k)...
after that u buy the drake and the class 6 shield at the nansai research station in kyushu system... go to freeport 10 in tau-37 and kill all cops/navy/hunters with come in ur way... kill every hunter outside the freeport till outcast is better then -2 blocks, go to malta, buy if u can 2 class 5 and 2 class 6 pyros guns...

i had 4 class 5 pyros type 2 and did 240k with it... after 2 missions u have the sabre...

if u have lower missions and do it this way u have 2 missions in liberty, 3 in kusari and 2 in alpha, so in total 7 missions... u must be not a n00b in the game to do this... and know how far u can get with the fighter...

the drake 240k missions where just a test... and i did that... now i do the same in a dagger, my top-dagger is worth 600k (deu to high cost off mines and hornet ammo)

If u c some1 in a dagger make fireballs from hunters it can be me

or go to galleo and bust a few transports.... pref Eng comp. sell at denver, Niobium sell at pueblo, alien org sell at newark, Lux food sell at denver, lux consumers... sell at aniu or new tok or repongi sta.

yep cheezy but it works great specially if u have a buddy to help u out and watch the cargo so it don't "vanish" also in a 2 + team have 1 hitter and others haul.

you can if lucky fix your rep and get some cash at once.. kill eht middle depots by newark over manhatten... sell polymers at the sta. near fort Bush.

Sell weapons, sell nanos and batteries and trade around new york till you can afford rhino freighter with a class 2 shield (countermeasure dropper if you can spare) and still have 15,000 creds left over. Buy lux consumer goods and go to ainu depot in hokaido to sell your cargo for 1440 each. then buy cardamine and head to roppongi station and sell it there. buy lux consumer goods and head back to ainu depot. rinse and repeat.

You'll earn 400 creds per cardamine and 600 creds for the lux good, the whole time just moving between 2 systems. soon as you can purchase the drone freighter, your credits will increase even faster. With this method it hardly takes any time to earn enough creds for the eagle ship.

DragonBreath - that's also a good plan. Excellent observation that the Pyros guns are some of the best you can buy without a high reputation with the faction in question, although it still does take some adjusting.

A suggestion to add to that - for the Kusari missions, go to Shinagawa Station, which is the only station in Kusari that offers missions to kill Hogosha. Benefits of this are that the Hogosha fly CSVs that are easy to kill even in a Starflier, and killing them doesn't damage your Outcast reputation as much as killing Blood Dragons or GCs.

Shinagawa is owned by Kishiro Technologies, which starts at -3 unfriendly to the player, so you need to choose your initial two missions to adjust your rep with Kishiro enough to take missions from them. Making sure that your initial missions are for the Liberty Police or Navy (0.05 friendly with Kishiro) and killing Liberty Rogues (-0.25 unfriendly with Kishiro) should work. (No other faction with bases in Liberty has higher empathy with Kishiro than the police.)

Another suggestion is to lessen the amount of work you have to do with your Outcasts rep. You can do this by choosing your initial missions to NOT be for the Liberty Police and not against Rogues or Hackers, both of which make the Outcasts mad. Flying your missions out of Pueblo (Ageira) in Colorado, to kill Xenos, works for this. Then in Kusari, you may want to proceed to Kyushu in order to take missions against Farmers' Alliance ships rather than the Outcast-friendly BDs and GCs.

Finally, it is a good idea to buy Luxury Consumer Goods to take on your way to Kusari, in any ship. Denver sells them cheap, and if you're proceeding to Kyushu or Honshu, they're worth even more there than in New Tokyo.

Actually, I was experimenting with the missions plan, and hit on what I think is an even better plan. There is one class-6 gun almost as good as the Pyros and is sold completely regardless of reputation: the GMG Sunblast A.

So, after leaving Liberty, head to Honshu instead of towards the Taus. Note that Luxury Consumer Goods bring in even more at Honshu than at New Tokyo. Get a Drake or Barracuda at Honshu, and proceed to Gas Miner Ogashawa.

Ogashawa sells Sunblast As as well as the class-6 graviton shield. There isn't any perfect solution for the Drake's class-5 slots, but an Adv.Stunpulse and a Catapult missile work quite well. The Drake's powerplant can't sustain more than two Sunblasts for very long anyway. (Alternatively, a Barracuda with those two in the class-5 slots plus 4x Sunblast A plus Starkillers is quite a force.)

Your starting reputation with the GMG is good enough to fly missions for them, so fly three or so until you can buy all that equipment. Ogashawa offers missions up to at least $45k against either the Outcasts or Corsairs, and Luxury Liner Hawaii also offers missions to kill Hogosha. Killing pirates should raise your Bounty Hunters Guild reputation, and then you can just pop over to Freeport 9 and take high-paying missions from the BHG to buy your Eagle.

If you're not good enough or the server's too laggy to do the top-paying missions in a Drake or Barracuda, you can stop off at Planet Kurile in Sigma-17 instead to fly $50k-$100k missions and buy a Falcon if you like.

This is a slow trade route. For a better one click here! Sorry T-hawk, I found it myself, and it works much better!
