LAN-gaming. only 2 persons and no server?

As the topic says, is it possible for 2 persons to just play some LAN-gaming without a server?

The reason to why im asking is because me and my roomate (we share a house..) would like to do some MP but lack a internet connection (56k modem isnt that appealing).

Can we play without a big server, or can one of us host a server on our own machien while playing? (the specs on my computer are pretty extreme so if the possibility excists I think the hardware can take it). Is this possible?

just run a server with the "Make Server Internet Accessable" box unchecked in the server set-up screen.

With that button unchecked it is a lan only server. When you click on Multiplayer in the game choose LAN and select the server that pops up. That way you can play on a LAN server with just you two.

Edit: Oh and the FLServer program is in your Freelancer Directory in the EXE folder.
