On becoming a pirate fast

ive just finished sp for the last time and ive been checking out mp a few times. i just had a few questions to ask (ive already scoured the forum for answers on already posted topics)

first off you start off with the words "liberty navy" flashing in your reputation screen, i know that means that you are in some way affiliated with them, but how do you change this? ive already taken and aborted heaps of jobs on manhatten and pissed them off considerably but it wont stop flashing.

also whats the quickest way to start joining pirate clans? keeping in mind i dont want to have to go through half the game and raise money for bribes. also just blasting away at liberty ships may do the trick but at the start you are a bit weak to go at it alone

ive tried neutralising liberty corp and police agency rep's so i can go to pirate bases and take jobs, but the rougues and hackers wont slip into neutral. is their somthing im doing wrong or do i just have to take less subtle actions?

One more question..

i have 56k is it possible to play MP net games? i assume not but what if its only 2 people in the server and the host has uncapped cable? both players are in Aus.

To get friendly with pirates quickly you should ambush trade convoys and kill a lot of freighters...
With 56k connection you'll be able to play MP but expect a big ping or if you find a decent server then you'll be ok...

the quickest way to become a pirate is to shoot the hell out of the good guys, raid their trade routes, attack their stationary objects and generally give them a hard time everytime you see them

Be warned though, make sure you've got a half decent ship before you start doing that, because by attacking one sect you will find that you lose favour with their allies too. Which sometimes can mean blasting your way through several systems before docking again.

As for the 56K thing - it is possible, I did it for a while - BUT! Its irritating when it lags because you're on a server where lots of people die and are respawned. My advice with that would be, get as high as humanly possible with the SP before you try out the MP option. That way, people will respect you more on the servers and you'll be able to handle the lag skips when they happen mid-combat.

Hope that helps!

when u began, scan the cargo depot, their r 1 DSE and 2 police off outside manhattan...

when u destroyed 3 of the cargo-pods on the cargo depot u will be friendly with all factions in liberty...

if their already empty, just do first hunterkilling and if their r no hunters do copkilling.

-edit
@Gromit, i gonna pirate when i launch the first time... so it doesn'depend on ships... i don't die when i'm working in liberty with a starflier and stay by the game (not put the game down, and let my ship go to a specific point...), co'z i know what i can do with thus low level fighters, the heaviest fighter i fly today on unmodded is a dagger...

If u c some1 in a dagger make fireballs from hunters it can be me

Shooting Bounty Hunters is one of the best ways to get points with the criminals (especially Outcasts and Corsairs) but it also becomes a pain in the ass. Bounty Hunters are in nearly every system in the game. If you piss 'em off, you are going to need to be a pretty good pilot. If you aren't, you soon will be

Pirating is a lot of fun though. Escaping massive police groups around capital planets for example. Sometimes just shooting trade lanes in Magellen does the trick. Get yourself one buddy in an eagle, and a few guys in droms, and watch the money roll in.

if you're gonna be a criminal, annoying the bounty hunters is pretty inevitable...kill 'em all thats what i say

the best way i have found to get ure rep down with the navy at the start is this

take off from manhatten and go towards newark station there will be some storage bins there go and destroy them and u wont be friends with the navy but be careful how many u shoot

The quickest way to be a pirate? Find a server that mods your starting character to be a pirate. My own server does this, Freelancer Heaven. If you decide to crash my server, let me know what pirate faction you'd like to be and I'll set you up.

As for changing your factions from liberty navy to a pirate of choice, first you need to get liberty to hate you, then you can focus on killing the enemies of whatever pirate faction you want to join.

I find the best way to become a pirate is to fly to Ames Research Station, and get a bribe to be frienly with the hackers. This makes you friendly with Outcasts, Hackers, Rogues, GC, Blood Dragons, and maybe some other crims. The onther downside is that it will make Koshiro and Sumara hate you, so dont plan a trip to Kusari.

lmao you buff! Thats' the rich-kid method...
DragonBreath has it right. You wanna be a pirate? Fly a pirate ship. Half decent ship I hear? Well, you got a choice, and the Dagger will survive anything if you know what you are doing...also note that that the Drom, Stiletto, Wolfhound, Bloodhound, Mule, and a few others...no to mention the VHF's...are pirate ships. What the hell does a bad a$$ want with a Cavalier?
Wanna be a pirate? Kill "good guys". Beam free cargo. Learn the meaning of "Free" enteprise
(;= Slake.
btw...Drop the Cargo...If I don't get to fill this Daggers' hold, neither of us will...

HOHOHO I see your problem the same thing happened to me when I was a young newbie on the A1freelancers server heres the trick search the jersey debris field for a junker base called Rochester dock in it [rogues will shoot just press dock it isn't a rogue base snag some cardamine and artifacts then go back to manhatten come back and get a bribe from the bartender then talk to some rogues they will have missions thats how I became the World Famous OutLaw that I am good luck,JEFF A.K.A. Liberty_Pirate1 Commander of the Liberty_Piartes Supreme Veterens Of Liberty Space the Liberty_Pirates will be victorius P.S. Come to my server *Liberty Pirates 24/7 Role Play*
