Need help on setting up server on WXP/WXPro System

Anyone know how to set-up server on XP or XP pro system?

I can locate the sever but just can't log in.

Lan server is running on a lan without any firewall installed.
(WXPro/SP1/DX9b)

Anyone can help me with this problem?

on your lan do you have a router/gateway?
