@corwin02 - Why? I am having this trouble on my machine, trying to run an Internet persistent server and run a client at the same time. Why does this not work? My pc can handle the load no problem. It's obviously a problem, I am just curious WHY it's still a problem? Couldn't it be fixed?

I would say your computer has a "confict of interest" thus stopping the server and client running together.

all I can tell you is that it doesn't work , haven't had the time to hook up a sniffer to figure it out , all i can tell you for now is that it is a bug in the server part not the client part and that is has to do with resource allocation

Yeah you'll probably want to set up a slower pc that runs FLServer. With minimum specs, and it doesn't even have to have a 3d video card. Just a lot of RAM (and a bit of proccesing power, depending on the max # of players on your server of course).
That way works just fine with me. I use that elder pc for all kinds of server jobs (like BF 1942, UT: Tactical Ops, Teamspeak and so on...)

I run a server and play both and run about 3 to 4 progarms at same time I really never have problems. I would say u need to fix it. MINE is 2.53 gigs and 1.24DDR built my self and lots of extra. problem is u have to many progarms runing or not enouth power. Might be bad either net card if have DSL. Just get help but dont think this page will do what u need.
