Multiplayer doesn''t work for me....

A few months ago I bought this game and tried Multiplayer, then chose internet. It said "Connecting to Global Server" and just sat there forever. It wouldn't work no matter what. Just recently I tried again and it does the same thing. Anyone know a way I could get this working?

BTW, I have Windows XP and cable with a firewall. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link, but I think I'm just as confused as Amrk. How do you manually ping a server in FL, and what is the format for adding IPs to the shortcut?

try a post in the technical forum with more detail ie firewalls etc

i had the same problem, it them kept saying connecting to globel server. i too have windows XP (prof), kabel and a firewall (ZoneAlarm). because it didn't work i first played the sp a lot but that got boring after a while but the dam mp still didn't work, i was going to post my problem here on tlr when multiplayer suddenly worked again. i don't know why but i'm happy about it. maybe thet problem is in xp.

so i held this whole stupid storry and didn't help you a bit - sorry but i can't help you, but i share your frustration.

i'll think of something...someday
