It doesn't make sense to me that they are all stirred up. NEO is only on one server. I forgot all about you guys lately, but in the last 10 minutes I have come across two posts and a new thread from NEO's talking about how everyone is talking about them. I never even noticed an anti-neo post in quite some time. Maybe I am just not looking for it.

I doubt that the controversy associated with NEO is owed to our server or to those whom we abuse, but to simply the ideals we uphold, as far as socioelitism and, well elitism in general are concerned. With us, it's survival of the fittest and we are very impatient with certain peoples whom we decide to be unworthy. That established, there are large groups of people and independents alike who resent our rather scrutinous political position and have decided to hate us back. The experience of being alienated and attacked by NEO is hardly responsible for the "flames" we receive here; I'd attest more of that simply to our ethics, which is why people so laughably labor to make us look bad around here. Have at us, I say.

Great! Stir things up. It makes the game more interesting. I don't see why your belief in elitism is bad. If you aren't the best, then die like the rest.

considering what you say? Only that two members of NEO were hunted this night in the New London system by two 'Raiders in drakes. One changed characters to Gamma... the other (NEO/$uperman) was cornered and engaged, when all of a sudden *poof*. He disappears.

Apparently elitism is not so much skill as it is the frequent use of the F1 key to avoid being blown into the space-garbage one crawled from.

While the Raiders have frequently chosen to flee NEO's gang-bang attempts when outnumbered, we have done so with conventional gameplay. NEO has chosen to call us cowards for flying away from a 3v1. Apparently they are not educated into the understanding of the word 'irony'.

No Raider has (to my knowledge) ever used the F1 key during a fight. This sort of lameness would not be tolerated within our ranks.

Elitism.. HAH.

if you aren't the best... then quick hit the F1 key and run to Gamma!

yep, that did happen, that is because I had lags and was disconnected *repeatedly*.

and the other one you speak of must have switched char to do missions for us with corsairs so that our rep would NOT be hostile as we enter Omega 5 in our newly purchased drake. I can not really say why the other NEO switched as I had lags throughout that yesterday evening, but that was the plan we had.

Let me explain my side:

Yes, I was attacked by Marauder outside Planet New London while I was destroying the Depots there to get on better terms with the corsairs. At first I just flew around, and scanned his weapon loadout. I, at this point, had rather bad guns (sunfury mk is and a scrambler), vs a superior setup. Even so, I was planning on fighting, but I had to get away as something away from the computer came up that I had to take care of immediatly (yes, things do happen in the real world). I figured I'd get called a wuss for it - obviously I have, but its better than sitting still and dying while I take care of something.

When I got back, I re-evaluated the situation, and decided that
a) he probably wasnt in the same spot as where he was minutes before
b) why should I get back on a poorly equipped character just to hunt someone down who has superior weaponry
c) I figured that even *if* i did rejoin on the character i was previously on, I would end up taking a long time fighting drake vs drake, and today has been a busy day for me (packing for a trip to south east oregon, the steins mountains if you want to know), and thought that it would be even more pathetic to f1 in the middle of a fight I picked

Although I should have fought, given the situation I was in, that wouldn't have been possible without leaving halfway through.

You should understand also that NEO has its own priorities, and sometimes they include fighting and killing you, and sometimes they do not. Darkling and Superman were well occupied and I'm sure that another public display of power was unnecessary. You may know well by now that you are quite inferior and the disassociations thereof will be left to our disgression in accordance with our agendas, not yours. I'll ask that you refrain in the future from demanding our justified use of our F1 button, which you may rest assured, will not be used in a fight.

That said, I don't like you, and I invite the raiders to burn in hell. Before that though, I challenge all of the raiders to a nice, fair fight. All of you, versus me. We can fight all at once or I'll take you one at a time; whatever you prefer.

Hairy, despite your fancy words it is quite obvious that you have a reading comprehension problem. The F1 key WAS used during a fight.. and TWICE by two different NEO pilots within 5 minutes of each other. And were it not for your disability, you would have also read that they BOTH ADMITTED IT.

Nothing justifies the use of the F1 key to escape during a fight. Fight, Escape, or Die. Any clan that attempt to justify the use of the F1 key to escape during a fight is pretty sad IMO, no matter how 'elite' you feel yourself to be. However I will allow some credit to Darkling and Superman for at least making an explanation.

I invite Hairy to choke on the dung he is currently eating. At least your offending pilots offered up an excuse. Your inane mouth-flapping is an ironic joke for all to see. The way i see it your post merely describes neo is a group of nerdy kids, that will never know female genitalia on their lifes (apart from the one they knew when they were born), attempting to make themselves important by spamming publicity regarding how great they are in a game (about one of the very few things they can be good in considering the nerd natural life span and life opurtunities).

Quoting stinger, using his stressing out technique seen before in other posts.. "what a maroon!" - This wasnt ment as a personal flaming, only to relieve some stress created on this thread

Once again i reiterate my total uncaring about personal degradation posts, other kinds of flaming regarding typos, unproper use of writen english, observations regarding one skill or competence as a leader or a pilot and attempts to measure ones inteligence with non objective and non A.P.A (American Psychology Association) aproved methodologies or techniques.

I love the way everyone uses big language and completely opposes what everyone else says. Then all they do is ignore your comments and oppose you. It just goes on and on and on and on (duracell bunny styly).

So anyway, is this about F1ing it again. Look I'm sure quite a lot of ppl have F1ed before, whether to get out of a fight or because they actually had to. You can never tell because over the internet everything is taken at face value. Unless you are some crazy freak who has spyware targeted at satellites so that you can watch other players in their homes, you will never know the truth.

So, please, put away those hand-bags and step away from each other. This isn't really necessary.

And I know my comment here will hold no meaning whatsoever to either party in this little flame war, but I know 3 things:

1)I wont get flamed for by typos.
2)I wont get flamed for my bad grammar
3)If I do get flamed I will just forget it and move onto the next thread that interests me, because it is only a game.

NEO and a fair duel? I don't think so.
I fly a Dagger. I fly it on missions in Alpha. These guys have been busting their chops to duel me, given that I am a clan leader.
They offer to duel - and tell me they are in Daggers too - so I rock up to the pre-arranged meeting spot - and guess what? I am confronted with Drakes every time.
NoTec acts the same as well. Wow. You guys are really good pilots. Drink my sarcasm.
The funny thing is, none of them have accepted my offer to duel in a Dagger vs Dagger contest - not in a Dagger, anyway. And they call ME a COWARD? Yet my Dagger, with an extremely bad rep with any AI Police/Corp/Bounty Hunter faction, flies around Alpha...and the rest of the FL universe...
The F1 key is lame. If you are packing for a holiday, play the game when you are finished. You assosciate with a clan that bullies lighter ships - I hope your hull blows.
Last time I ran - and the amazing thing was, my Drake pursuer (one Carlsoneo) would at one point be 2.8 k behind me, then 756m behind me, take his pot shot, miss, fall behind to 3.8k, and suddenly be up my ass at 1374m like a yoyo - and whilst I was in full cruise? I gotta wonder about that, now that I've read some of the other posts on the MP forum...
