Why do people feel the need to do this?
Is it to make them feel big and important, like hey look at me I've got 40 million? If that's the case it doesn't seem to work as most people just think what a looser. It says some about the inadequacies of a person that they have to resort to things like this to get ahead.
The really weird thing is that once you've explored the FL universe once then any subsequent games become slightly less interesting as you've seen it all before. I started a character on the infamous 'elite' on Wednesday, I've played just short of 5 hours with that character and I'm level 30. I know this isn't even really that fast, I've read the posts from people who can do it in a two hours. The point I'm making here is that modding for money is just so pointless because anyone can make a lot of money very fast anyway.
Also I had fun in those 5 hours getting that 1st million, having to speed dock through clouds of pirates in my Rhino, what fun is there in just pressing a button and creating money? I my opinion cheating not only effects the honest people who worked for their money, it also effects the player themselves by taking away the experience of having to make that money.
Modding and cheating, ruins the game for others and yourself.
