Start from scratch every new server?

Total noob multiplayer question here. Do I have to start from scratch on every different server I decide to play? The characters aren't saved locally to carry over to different servers? Just would be a bummer to have to start over everytime just cause the servers sucks or whatever. Tell me there is another way. If not give me the name of a good server that's worth going through all that boring stuff just to get to a decent level. I'm actually a very multiplayer oriented gamer just never got around to it with this game. I tried it once and the lag made it incredibly hard to shoot the enemy so I went back to my modded single player games.

Yes, you have to start a new character on each server you play on unless you can convince the server admin to accept your user file from another server. I understand that that is *very* rarely done though (correct me if I'm wrong guys).

The good news is that starting out fresh can be fun. It really grew on me after a few times. I'd rather work my way up from the bottom on my own than accept a million credits from someone for nothing. Just me though. Enjoy it!

I play on 24/7 Seattle Based which seems to be a very stable and lag-free server. Just be sure to read the rules carefully before starting a character paying close attention to the nickname rules (no # characters allowed). And most of all, don't forget to turn off *all* mods before you enter the server. Being caught with a mod on even accidentally is a no-no that can and will get you banned.

No, but I'll bet you'll get a heck of a ping if you are.

I live in Florida and I don't get any lag.

i tried a server called freeport 9 the other night
you start with a full map neutral all factions and an anubis
it seems to be running something like rebalance as well

i tried my server out at first with PvP rules and the anubis. but then i realised i didnt read everything and people were running around in manhattan buying sunslayers for a dolalr and the launcher for 2 lol. so i had to erase everyone's char and put my backup INIs in

now i just run lancer guard
