freeport 9 server

i gave freeport 9 server a try last night
it seems to be running rebalance or something similar
but the big shock to the system is the starting ship they give you the anubis.
im not convinced the map all being filled in was a good idea and the all factions neutral was good but everyone who started instantly sent out the message "what the .........an anubis" :-)

well done to whoever thought that one up

Filled in map? Joy!

I personally am a little tired of having to rely on memory when I begin my 1000th character, so I use LancerThing in the background. Keep in mind I rarely need it and explored the universe the first dozen or so times on my own... but DAMN this thing is handy.

One of my biggest beefs with Freelancer is it's completely dumb navigation computer with no pre-programmed info, no ability to search for systems, commodities, or item purchase points.

I mean really, what year is it? We have space-ships, but dumb computers? My fancy ship doesn't even come with a map of the known galaxy?

To be a little more on topic...

I noticed that server when looking for a Brow replacement myself... but decided to visit Argonia Station instead. Nice server, little laggy tho.

Our clan has moved to Elite for now, as the admin is very active and it is a pretty stable server. Still will miss Brow.
