Can i just say that i too have had a bad experience with a jolt admin, I made a complaint on a forum about the poor reliability of the server and was told i was "immature" for suggesting such a thing. Since then I have been using Wireplay who I have to say, have been faultless. Do yourselves a favour and use Wireplay, the admins are first class.

PS. Akasha - free public server or not, you are driven by ure users and if you keep up that attitude then your users will start going elsewhere. Yes, you may have 10,000 subscribers or whatever you quoted (though I wonder how many of theses are active?) but the laws of business state that a bad rep travels faster than a good one - 1 person tells 2, 2 tell 4, 4 tell 8 etc maybe you should just chill out, afterall, this is a very competitive market and you are not exactly going to win a populartity contest by the looks of this forum, since you an admin, you are also the public face of jolt - one which i doubt your superior colleagues would be pleased with.

Remember folks - Wireplay - more reliable and friendlier than "joke"....sorry, "jolt".

i dont belong to the "browclops family" i know no-one there, except for my freind gun runner or whatever he goes by on browclops. And to date, the host has been on over 8 times when ive been on, and ive yet to be banned

well i was thinking on starting to play on jolt more, but after reading this post i have come to the conclusion that the general consensus is that the server has a biased corrupt admin who has never heard of the term "conflict of interest".

Admins should not join clans or try and instigate other players just to ban them later.

I have a character on jolt, (no akasha, it's not called carlsoneo so dont try and ban me) but after reading some of this i dont think i will play there anymore.

A public service does not entitle you to complain about it (for one try complaining about some of the public services in your country and see if there is any reaction) and furthermore since when does an admin of a server have to adhere to democracy he/she is by default the dictator of the server and can pretty much do as he/she pleases

again I am looking at 3 pages of flab about a non issue , can we please close this thread

I'm I the only one here that thinks that this tread should have been moved to server forum to begin with? Shouldn't it be locked by now? I do enjoy a flame fest from time to time but no new interresting flames have been posted for a while and all parties are still, well as partial as they used to be.

Now back to the regular flaming.

1. ANY service that is in the public domain is designed to please the public. If you experience displeasure you are entitled to have a say.

2. Dictatorships? eh? We still in the same century here? Whatever floats your boat mate but i for one prefer the democracy of THIS country and since the jolt server is a uk organisation (thats what the .co.uk bit means) i think suggesting that the admins have the right to dictatorship is both ludicrous and slightly unsettling.

3. Who suggested politics? (tho it is pretty clear which side of the big red fence you seem to be landing) This is about the displeasure experienced by gamers so get off your power-box.

Jolt is one of many servers that have had the good sense to give Cleaver/Cams and his ilk the boot, for that I give them the highest praise and gratitude, the number of places where he and his are not welcome is increasing geometrically, so his opinions are of no consequence.
These "Public" servers are not public property, they are private property that someone has graciuosly opened to the public, access to these servers and forums is not a right, it's a privilege.
This privilege is under the direct control of the people who administer these servers, they set the conditions, they make the rules, if you don't like them, go elsewhere, and good riddance!

Yet another browclops geek, i was a server deputy on 24/7 UK dedicated, had a good relation with the seattle admin (who was considered rather ruthless) and my clan had a good time on almost every server we were, however Jolt and browclopsia are on the most lamest servers around, yes my clan was banned in 2 servers due to admin freak messup, if thats geometric to you, you may need to learn some maths

Browclops is a server where the admin friends are allowed to mod and hack, yup i saw that happening, and everyone posing a threat to your rather annoying team of knobs is banned, please refrain from posting here, everyone speaking positively for browclops is a geek, wich i very doubt is welcome anywere else
