I was on the server when you showed up. Lets consider some facts:

1. For approximately 2 hours (the length of time I was there before you arrived, not counting what anyone else experienced prior to your arrival) before you got there, 100% lag and crash free operation.

2. Within 20 seconds of the "New Arrival ........-heretic666" nick yellow lag constantly, proceeding to red lag, proceeding to "your connection to the server has been disconnected". Reboot my machine - just in case it was me. Came back and the server is gone from global. Trot over to where I know some ppl have another account. I hear the same story. You show up - lag ensued - disconnected.

3. You admit to modding. I check with a few server admins and find that an unmodded server cannot handle a player with mods to his program. You experience increasing lag, then ultimately the server crashes. I have seen lag pop up and drop off on other servers in correlation with modders (known and hypothesized) coming and going.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the connection and to put it all together. I know you are obviously NOT a rocket scientist so I will spell it out for you...I will even use simple words to make sure that there is no confusion and that even a mental midget like yourself can understand...

You have a point that ignoring him would have an effect. I have found that this doesn't work, however. Someone will always show up and pay attention to him. At least with the mass of flames we are keeping the new posters apprised of Heretic's status as a dung-eater so they are not fooled into being like him. Also I think the massive amount of disdain for him is slowly taking its toll. He may have liked the attention once... but is slowly realizing that we really do hate his attitude and actions and the he is truly reviled. Clagary is a good server. There are modders, and there are idiots. The good thing is that if you got blown away - someone will usually give you money. The other good thing is that, well, Heretic don't play there no more from what i see. He doesn't know how to mod at all........and yes, for all his talk - people do own his ass....lol
Once and for all - The owner and admin of the server protects people in NY from modders. The server is the MOST social i have seen in a long time - and the only pain in the arse right now is an uber modded Exzo. The rest will be dealt with by TE and some others. Now, what the hell was the original topic about? Shouldn't it be called 'Bashing Heretics?'

There are LOADS of good people playing at Calgary. Some are modded but they don't harm ANYONE (except causing lag but that is something not to be discussed in this topic, K? )

leadpill- Unfortunately the one thing that needs to be done with Heretic is the one thing we can't do, someone needs to smack Heretic upside his pointy head.

Chips- if Heretic isn't playing on Calgary anymore, it's because he's been blasted too many times by someone who can out-mod his sorry excuse for a backside. He's a coward, that's why he brings his garbage to screw up our servers rather than taking them to a modded one, and you should read how he trashes TE for letting him get blown away, even though, in truth, he's just being rewarded for his own actions.

Entropy- The Admin of Calgary mods, it's an unspoken agreement that people can mod there and why he put the 1.1 patch in no-one knows, mods are interesting and cool when used where they belong, on a modded server, mods that are forced on an un-modded server are nothing more than cheating garbage and the same can be said for the people that use them that way, period.

Payback is a b*tch, and god willing guys like Heretic will be taught that lesson over and over and over and.....

I have no problem with people speaking their mind against Heretic. What I do have problem with is Justinian copying and pasting one identical text on every thread Heretic has been.

what's the problem with cheating you ask? its not creative.

Calgary 24/7 is a fine server if you wish to mod. As far as clean playing goes though, it really stinks. Cheating is not just common there, it is the rule. And yet no one has the guts to place "Mods allowed" in the server description. :p If that was the case, I'd have nothing but praise for the server.

Some legit players really love the server, but I think that maybe they haven't tried alot of other ones, or are worried about losing their characters. I find nothing to love about it personally. It has 40 players, but the lag is horrendous. You can expect to be rendered crippled by lag roughly once every 20 minutes for periods of about 5+ minutes at a time. And I do mean immobile. As in 'virtually unable to play'. It seems ok at late hours though from what I've seen. Probably all the cheaters have been tucked in bed by their moms at that point, and cease lagging the game.

I swear to god i'm going to kill bill gates because then everyone wouldnt hate me.

Let us consider some facts regarding a mod's effect on an unmodded server, shall we? Before we begin, let me say that I am not referring to the modders that create modded software and run it on modded servers. Those guys have both talent and class. Those guys (gender neutral here folks) respect other people who are content to play the original game in the original format. The one(s) that I have problems with are the ones that force themselve onto our "purist" servers with their mods and ruin it for everyone, yet seem to think it is their right to do so.

For the most part my opinion is that modders, in general, are very talented. They take a piece of software, and find a way to make it better, albeit - usually in their own eyes. There are a few out there that insist on forcing those mods on unmodded servers for their own reasons.

Also - if someone knows how to install a "phantom" copy of the program that I could mod to play TNG on a TNG server without having to give up the real deal, I would appreciate it. From what I see it looks interesting, but not at the expense of giving up on pure Freelancer.
