Two Computers - One Character Please !

I have two copies of Freelancer = one on my desktop & one on my notebook - When I travel I play on the notebook but have to use a different character - isn't there a way to just play one character on both machines with some kind of file copy/update between the two ?

I have a private server running on the desktop 24/7 if that helps.

Copy the Freelancer Registry Settings from the machine you want to duplicate, and put it on the machine you want to play.

Note: You won't be able to play on the same server with both computers. (One account ID per user per server)

Thanks much - I wouldn't have thought of that - was looking for player data files.

That won't work. The registery only tells your computer that you have freelancer installed. If you have 2 separate copies of freelancer, you have 2 different Account ID's. The server recognizes characters by using account ID's. Now if you use the same copy of freelancer with the same account ID on both computers and just take the character file save on your first computer and transfer it to your second computer after you install fl on that computer, then you can connect from both computers using the same character. Just not at the same time. I did this and it works great.
