MP bug?

I ahve looked thru the old posts but not found anything like this..

When I try to connect to the Internet thru Freelancer, I get all servers and so, I can see their IP, names, Max players and all, but I cannot get their latency, and thus cant I connect to it. Are there any special thing I should do, like add a shortcut to the server I wanna join. (I just plays on one!) Or do anyone else got any good idea?

If you cant get there ping, then probablly there not active/crashed but still in the master server cache.

If you want to add them to LAN then just make a copy of your desktop icon and add the server ip and port number in the target line.

eg Elite would be

HDD:\GAMES\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe -s131.107.83.10:992

NB you have to have its correct Query port or it wont work. The default is 2302 but some use custom query ports.

I think it might be my Frewall that dont let thru the server info, more then easy info. (cant know why though)

I know that the servers are online, cuz I get ALL servers there is, that means Elite and the rest! I have also tried to join Elite.. which didnt work.

I have waited.. lets say about 5 min.. then refreshed and waited 5 more mins.. 2,5Mbit connection, bothways. I would really doubt that there are any "demanding prgs" in hte background. I got a 3.0 Ghz HyperThreading CPU, so I REALLY doubt it! (plus the comp is all clean from progs due that I just reinstalled XP)

I mght add that I have two comps beside eachthers, one that cant conenct to the FL servers, the other can! (I have opened the same ports to both IP's) The server I wanna join is a server that I know what port it uses, 2302-2304 and those two are opened.

AS I said, I had two comps beside eachother, both connected to the same router/Firewall, both opened the same ports and all. The thing I could guess is that I have the SAME account ID on both machines, can that have anything with it to do?

Did you set the correct protocal when forwarding? UDP not TCP

ed: just re-read your followup, try a fresh install on the second PC that cant view the Servers, so its got a different online ID number.

It's that or the master server is seeing 2 connections from one IP and giving up. Other games that use online Cd keys have that problem and can only be fixed by the Developers altering the Master server code

In the router and firewall config if both block ports.
