Yeah, that must have been it.....from 2.3K away. My ship exploded instantly *BOOM!* followed by "shields fialed". Must have been the Tizonas. No missle/Torp was fired unless you losers have a cheat for that too that removes the warning and firing sound that I hear every time someone fires one.
....and when Tasiin mysteriously disappeared a split second before I would have killed him, only to respawn "new player NEO Tasiin" 1 second later......must have been lag huh?
....and when he was flying past me being pummeled to 0 shield and 1/4 Hull, he must have fired 2 Tizona pair blasts, and then a Torp, all out of his ass that all traveled instantly to hit me while he was running away faster than my last shot or 2 from main guns could travel from my ship to his for that last killing blow.....that must be it.

Been there done the dance got a phat ashwhoppin how many times tas? bout 20-30? i was buzzin' and laffin my ass off between respawns lost count loved the taunting and all too talked back a lil. I even had a group here watching the fight at my house!! my buddy was on another server and forgot about his ship and ran thru a minefield watching the fight!!! Oh and got on the "exclusive list" last nite.
I still had a lotta fun tho, got to see some great piloting techniques too, flying, shooting, torpin' cidin"new player xxxx"! lagged out once had to restart router heheh i wanna do that again sometime! great furball over Berlin!!
that is what makes Freelancer such a kick as$ game!
All in all, i got a lot to lean bout fightn' tho, I unfortunately, i can't live on Elite like some can due to job wife and kid
heck sometimes it is a miricle just to get on there maybe DA will get the patch fixed and netcode optimized so more players can be added. and when patch is released maybe some won't be too scared to try other servers.

corona would gave aswell a warning message. and it kills you not instant, acutally with a few bots and a sabre you can even HIT the sun, and make it back out of the corona.
so really unlikely, you do not go boom from that sun instant.

All this occurred right after I attacked and killed a lone NEO. Then I killed the next 2 that came (very quickly like these guys are all in the same room or something). Then Tasiin finally arrived and the cheating began. He's a good pilot, but not all that. He mostly just parks and shoots....missing most of the time, until you begin to nail him...then suddenly he gets good and kills me in 1 hit. Explain to me what weapon combo can kill a fully class-10 shielded Eagle in 1 hit. Not 1 hit and a missile or torp...just one hit. BOOMSHIELDFAILEDRESPAWN all at the same moment!
It was in Omicron Gamma between Crete and Tripoli, nowhere near a sun. Tasiin cheats his ass off, no doubt about it. He was running away at the time from a surprise attack. I was looking at his ass-end, and hitting him hard with 4 Skyblast B Class 9's and 2 Tizona Del Cids. He was at about 1/4 hull, and no shield within about 2.5 seconds and I was full up on everything and instantly exploded. I mean KABOOM, not flame out and then explode. Instant, spontaneous, total explosion.....followed by the shield failed alert, that's how fast it was.
I went at him repeatedly to see what was up and he nailed me fair a few times (seemingly) but every time I was near killing him....KABOOM!
Also I saw him fire torpedos (and heard), saw at least 2 Nomads, and was dropping shield in 1 hit so there must have been 2 Tizonas, then if shields dropped, 1 more hit killed every time so there must have been a couple more Class 10's because even 2 Nomad Cannons, and 2 Diamondbacks can't kill in 1 hit. So, how many HUGE guns can his Eagle hold again? 8? 10? Either that or his 6 ports somehow can do double the damage of mine if I had the same guns mounted.
They cheat. I don't even care about losing a duel, I play for the fun. It's not an ego thing or a desire to win-em-all to me. I'm not too stupid to know the difference in a fair fight and a cheat either. I saw his style and skill level, then saw the miracle kills....not every time, just when defeat is upon him. I even flew around not firing, waiting for the repeat of the insta-kill.........it never came. It was gradual, normal. Then the next round I'd hit him hard and fast......1 - 2 shots from the kill and BOOM! INST-KILL! There it was again.

currently u can cheat by mounting many guns in one mount, altering shield hp hull hp gun damage, all that... but all that could be noticed if he was to be scanned, and you will see its not there. You simply cannot make a miracle type of missle appear and hit his ship, and no one will be the wiser... if he cheats its provable...
it is possible for you to get hit with 2 tizonas and then guns/missles very soon after and you will not hear the missle warning until you are dead...
also possible that someone was trailing you and not only tasiin killed you

Here’s a lesson for you: pick your battles wisely.
You whined and cried about how afraid you were to play Freelancer online because of PKer’s and bullies. I and a few others talked you into it and then you showed your a$$. You turned into the person you were so afraid of.
NEO may be bullies but they do have honor. Tasiin came to my aid once and I have a long memory; I remember good deeds. I got dock raped (from behind no less) and NEO and friends came and explained it to the idiot. If NEO didn’t exist we would have to invent them.

well technical, such miracle missiles would be possible. several ways come to my mind how to do them, creating missiles with a new model for example, and complette new stats ... though such missiles could crash the server I guess, and I am not sure if new items, with new names in the dlls, etc would show up on a scan or not, I guess not.
what should work, and even work nice, would be a cheat prog that manipulte the packets. and add informations to the data sended, like a gun without animation ... those would not show up aswell on scaners.
so technical it should be possible, but it´s still not very likly that someone has written such advanced cheat tools already.
heck I do not even have heard of some typ of map hack so far.
