Why not maximize the turret on the Eagle? It doesn't use any power unless it is firing. It shoots forward off to the sides too. I hit people with it when doing circles or when passing on the side. It might not be all that effective, but who cares when you have plenty of energy to run it thanks to the zero energy usage by the Nomads weapons.
I am thinking of putting my cids on a level10 slot and putting in some class9 hull guns on the wing tips. I am having a heck of a time taking hull with my nomads concentrated in the center. I get their shields with no problem. This may be due to the cids on the wing tips thus covering more area with shield damaging projectiles. I have heard that it is good to have concentrated fire power like with the Hammer Head, so when you hit you hit better. But I am having difficulty hitting with concentrated fire. (nomads in the center) Maybe if I spread out the hull projectiles I will get them more often. Kinda like having a larger projectile size. I don't always need good solid hits, since I can last a really long time due to my evasive tactics giving me plenty of time to hit with little love taps widdling there hull away.
It is so frustrating when you got there shields down, but can never take hull. Even worse is when they have no hull and no shields, hangin by a thread, while you have full everything. And 5 minutes later you get impatient and charge in only to get blown up.
I am on dial-up, that may be my primary problem. My opponent isn't where they appear to be.

Dunno if anyone posted this already, but get one of the Gas Miners Guild Skyblast Turrets. They've got an 8.33 fire rate and do huge amounts of damage, but require a lot of energy. However, if you're putting it on the Eagle, which has one backwards-shooting turret, then it's no problem. You can't fire your primary weapons backwards in turret mode, so it's a great idea to put a Skyblast A or Skyblast B turret there which you can use to fend off enemies while entering a trade lane, docking, anytime that you would be vulnerable to attack from behind and cannot maneuver.
Just my two cents, that's all.
