Could be your connection. I played for two hours today on Elite without a problem. I have a DSL connection. If you have a 56k or lower connection, you are bound to have problems. If not, talk with your internet provider.

I'm getting some lag too and i fly with ADSL

I've been seeing occasional, but severe "lag" on Elite as well. I first noticed it about a week after the DA server's news last changed. DA is pretty much unplayable for me at this point. The "lag" seems to happen in waves there. Sometimes it's enough to dump me off the server. I've seen a couple of mass player dumps on Elite since this "lag" issue started. One of them dumped me in the process, the others didn't. Luckily, Elite's "lag" issue isn't as regular as DA's.

I'm thinking this is a patch related issue. I'm sure DA is already working towards a fix for it.

BTW, I'm on Cable 2M/384K. Pings to both servers are always under 125ms at the server list screen.
