Double Account policy on Elite?

Exactly what is it? Is it allowed or not. I just think it's kind of stupid when I see someone log off with one name and immediately log back on with another. What, you can't make due with just one character or what now? (And it's obvious that they are using them to blow up storage depots/freighters/whatever and then logging back on to scoop up the goods.)

The policy is it's allowed. This issue was brought up during beta testing and Digital Anvil decided to leave this feature in-game for release. No sense in fighting a feature.

I have a few characters, each one has different allegiances. I liked this game so much I wanted to experience it from many different angles. What do you think is wrong with that?

also ppl can use accountas as "safety deposit boxes if thet have a buddy they trust. say you are level 20 and find some level 10 guns.... hav your buddy or u create a new account and the transfer them to it and dock violla when u get a VHF you got some hardware.
I have seen it on many servers, often thought about doing it but som eof us have some ethics we are the few,. the unknown tho.

I myself enjoy leveling up, making it the old fashionedway. what is the point otherwise? Spend $50 (more like your parents spend the $$ on it) on a game only to ruin it? sounds like all cheese to me!

Server stability, for one thing. Mine has over 200 accounts and crashes every ten minutes (unmodded) - have to do a character wipe because SOME players couldn't control themselves.

I'm not talking about people who switch accounts occasionally, I'm talking about the ones who do it EVERY FEW MINUTES. This has been happening alot lately, and it's getting really stupid. If you're a "bank account", I doubt you have to switch inbetween characters a trillion times every hour.
