cant join MP servers

Ok, as soon as i click on a server to join, a little window pops up and says "the operation is taking longer than expected"...then FL locks up. Any idea what the prob is? (I'm using a 56k modem)

Also, when i try to start a server on my LAN, it locks up too

Yes really, 56k is absolutely useless for today's online games. If you really want to play online... go play Checkers online.

.....and if you're using mods/hacks/cheats then you are probably crashing the server you're trying to join.
