Sorry if I offend anyone but, isn't RES declaring war on anyone sorta like FedEX, UPS or even the USPS doing the same?

I thought the whole thing that made RES so cool was that they were NOT a "Clan"...

This isnt a clan war, and anybody who doesnt want to fight, I appreciate that, and its not like I'm firing anybody who doesnt want to fight. Cynicism, business has been slow for all of us, there havent been many new players on Elite lately, just the same guys who have already leveled up enough not to need us anymore . Now, this war is a personal issue more than anything, and is based on a matter of principle. I dont know if I would be as angry if Havok had worked for his shield, or if he was in a trade ship, but the shield was a gift from me, it cost me a good third of the money I had, and here comes Skorp, just blows away two guys flying Valkyries and one in a Crusader, nobody had any cargo, or anything that could have been looted, he just came by and killed players of a lower level. He could have settled this before it escalated, by paying for the shield and apologizing for that, but he didnt. From seeing their actions, personally I cant help but feel that WP needs a good trouncing, and unless Devil or one of the other members can convince me otherwise, I'm going ahead with this, and I apologize for dragging those who wont participate into it with me.

if i can find the password to elite, you will have one new player....

IMHO:

If some guy kills me and i loose my crgo or whatever I would ask him for a duel. If I loose for any reason I would call it even. If victorious I would demand compensation. Without it I would continue to attack the player each time I see him, not hunt, not declare war or anything like it. Only if he would hunt me down and kill constantly I would ask for a assistance or hire somebody.

There is time for war and there is time for peace. Sometimes it is wise to let go...before war declaration one should consider everything. Business is not plentiful and RES members do not want clan wars...there's a lot to learn for a wise leader.

okay nevermind, i can't even connect to the global server.

TRue dat, tango alpha. this war looked avoidable at one point, but that point lasted for about 0.12 seconds. unfortunately since then this conflict has been inevitable.

WP is far too arrogant for this to end in any other way than humiliation for them or for us, so I'm afraid it's going to be war until Devil gives in.

from what I've seen hellmaster was getting a hard on with all of the PvPing. Teh feeling didn't seem to be shared by Rezza, but anyway ...

Maybe the destiny of RES is in fact a clan/waring type of thing, and not the cool escorting service thing?

And why is it some people are saying hellmaster got convinced by NEO to join the war?

Is RES actually being played out here by NEO, so that that (NEO) can win a war against WP?

No. NEO was originally just going to watch because we had no business in this, but Devil's mouth allowed us to jump in ( we sympathized with RES, but we weren't really anxious to plunge Elite into yet another silly war, but there are limits )

RES started this on it's own, with WP's gracious help of course.

No, originally the feeling was not shared by me, you're right about that. In fact, there was a brief time where i was convinced this conflict could be avoided, as i said in my post above. However after a while it became clear that the war was inevitable, so i did my bit and fought on the frontline along with fellow RES members (as well as NEO, OWL, and even TTY1).

Rezza is completely correct... it DID look avoidable... But the arrogance kept pushing (on who's side is your own opinion personally I beleive it was WP) anyway.... I am not for this thing... But...... I'm apart of the RES so I stand with them and by my leader.

Well I have seen d3vil in the field as it were, and he seems fairly determined to fight, claiming things like "it was a mistake to kill skorp". when i pointed out that skorp attacked us with no warning and no provocation, he responded "yeah, right".

Oh, ok.. NP then. I dont want to be killed when I go into the server cuz I got a name like someone else.
If I had a Account on the Elite Servers I would join u, but at this moment I dont have one.. Dont like the idea of going to war against lvl 38 and above with a Starflyer..
