Interesting.. I got banned from the Seattle server for no reason too the second time I successfully connect to the server because it was always full.

Ender, dont worry about it, that server admin is a man loving fruit basket, you are better off playing somewhere else. He banned me because I loged in, than had a phone call, and was sitting outside manhatten for 5 minutes not doing anything. Some other n00bs in the system started saying that I had alt-tabed out to set up my "hacks" and than I was banned. The admin there is a n00b who has never passed lv5, the players there are newbs, and it has the most rampent cheating plague I have ever seen on any server. Avoid it like you avoide man loving fruit baskets, oh wait...

In RE: Argo's post: Ususally what happens on his erver is that we spot a "dodgy" level increase, but instead of barring instantly, we get a clan member {AR} to talk to the person and ask em. Then we continue from there. I find it works great, as the admin don't have 2 waste so much time.

In the US law, if you buy stolen goods with the knowledge that the goods are stolen, then you are guilty. But, if you are not aware they are stolen, then you are not guilty. In my opinion, a player should only be banned if they have a mod activated on their own computer.

Also, I don't believe that the logs should be used to ban people regarding rank jumps. That type of evidence is way to unreliable. I think the best way to stop cheaters is by Player witnesses. The AR clan on Argonia-Station works hard to report and stop cheaters. I think admins should use the Players to help them weed out the cheaters. Kinda like using Weed-Kill spray, rather than a toxic solution to kill all veggies in the area. Justice for all.
