I like to run luxury consumer goods from ny to tokyo, and then hfuel from osaka storage back to westpoint... it's really easy if you go through kepler and the pay is good at the start of game

Best route once I hit mid level.

Manhattan to New Tokyo: Luxury Consumer Goods
New Tokyo to New London: Engine Components
New London to Manhattan: Luxury Food

Flying a Falcon I make around $150K per cycle. With a Humpback or Dromedary: 4 to 5 times that. I can do the run in less than 45 minutes.

How do you transport luxury food so far? It rots then expires!
A good trade route is:
Buy Beryrillium for $192 from Kensington Shipping Platform (New london) and ship it to Pueblo station (Colorado) for $1020.
THEN
At Pueblo Station buy Jump Gate / Trade Lane Parts for $140 and ship it to Waterloo station (New london) where you can sell it for $700. (Waterloo Station is close to Kensington Shipping Platform which means you can do it again... and again...)
This trade route I find is relatively low risk, if you have a half decent ship.

As far as I'm concerned I prefer shipping Diamonds from Bautzen Station -Dresden System ($330) to New Tokyo - New Tokyo System and sell it for $1650... That's a fair trade isn't it? BTW If you're not to hostile with Red Hessians and Rogues you should be able to achieve this already at level 5... But be sure to avoid them as much as possible if you're not to friendly with them... they have a bad habit of wanting your diamonds for themselves... =)

i just go to freeport 1 and kill cargo ships and sell the cargo, i got four ships with engine components once and made 1.5 million credits :0

I can transport luxury food from New London to Manhattan and only lose 7 or 8 to spoiling. You just have to be quick.

The easiest "Big Money" Run Goes like this:

Luxury Consumer Goods from Planet Mahatton to Planet Honshu, 800 or so credit profit. Engine Parts FromPlanet Honshu to Freeport 4 in Magellen, About 1100 profit per unit.

It's a little longer and not as profitable as the Dresden/ New Tokyo run, but a skilled pilot can make this in the base Startracker. The very first thing I do as a new player is this run. I buy the goods and go. A fast player can be in the Liberty Navy's heavy fighter inside of an hour doing this run.

Most fun route with a ton of profit for advanced people:

-Start at Manhattan, full load of Luxury Goods.
-Stop at Honshu, sell. Load up on Optronics.
-Stop at Planet Malta, load up on *gasp* Cardamine.
-Take whatever route you want back to Manhattan, sell.

Round trip? Million bucks, give or take some depending on your freighter.

The last leg is incredible fun if you aren't friendly with people or get scanned. I spent 40 minutes trying to sneak into Manhattan cause Cryer hated me, and kept gettting everyone hostile. I also got scanned in Kusari on the way back. That was intense. Took out 4 or 5 Navy Dragons with my Dromedary.

EDIT: you can knock off a leg or two if you want. Optronics from Honshu to Malta is absurd, tons of profit, short distance. Or you can play it safe and do Manhattan to Honshu.

as this route may be quite exciting, its not that profitable aswell.
i dont think you can run from new york to omicron alpha and back within 40 minutes (seeing that the new berlin => new york takes about 27 minutes back and forth)
