Just saw the funniest hack ever

I don't call NEO-Run a cheat because he killed me (he never did), but because he joined the newly reset server at level 1, leveled up to 23 instantly before he left New York, then flew straight to Sigma 13 and harvested all the big guns for storage for the rest of you NEO llamas, then logged off.....all in about 15 minutes time.....less time than it took me to fly directly to Dresden and begin diamond mining in my starter ship. Several of us witnessed this, not just me.

Also you llamas creating second accounts just for these low down tasks and for stalking a player who escapes your gang bang dock exit rape tactics (3 - 5 NEO's camping the exit from a base) by switching to other characters up ahead. Using alternate characters to camp and park at big gun drops for hording....server crashes....Alts log on and hord the guns first thing. To me, all this sh** you punks do is worse than cheating with hacks. It's like your sole purpose in playing the game is to stalk and harrass others who are still relatively defensless.

PKing is fine, even fun, but having 4 dimwitts stalking you around constantly and unprovoked to try and corner you at a base and rape you for hours is just F'ing retarded.

Yeah, Camping the the docks is lame. what I do in that case is group together player and paste the offender till he leaves. I also keep mulitple accounts on servers so I can suprise the guy with a rear end attack if I know where hes camping.

As for Cheating, I can put a new character in a Sabre in 4 hours and only fire 4 shots the entire time. Is that cheating?

Wanna know how I do it?

Can you log on as a new character, and in 15 minutes, be level 23, at Sigma 13 in a Starflier (if he was in a Starflier as NEO claims) unmolested by NPC's, and have harvested all the shipwrecks? No. Can a Starflier hold enough cargo to sell and make you level 23 in one trip as NEO claims? NO! Even if you logged on as level 1 in a Humpback already loaded with diamonds and you went straight to New Tokyo and sold, you would not be level 23.

Is it okay to create characters for the sole purpose of hording guns you already have on your main character to deprive other players whom you intend to corner and rape for hours with 4 of your bully wannabe buddies? Hell no. It's cheating even if you don't use some hack to do it....or at the very least pathetically small minded. Take the guns and destroy them with your main character if your intent on being an arse but using alt characters is.......beyond lame.

I don't what's more pathetic, cheating in a game like FL or complaining about cheating in a game like FL. This isn't EQ, people, this isn't even fricking Diablo. It takes all of 15 hours for even the most dim-witted people to get a fully loaded VHF if they really wanted to. I can't begin to imagine how some people would go out of their way to cheat at a game what is already one of the shortest and easiest games in history. Nor can I imagine why someone would give a damn if someone levelled faster than they did. You don't like how someone is playing on a server? Switch servers!

Ah the memories. Reminds me of my days in Allegiance (by Microsoft, sort of Wing Commander meets Tribes). Our team gets enough money to buy a Battlecruiser, and then I send out a chat notice. Then four or five guys dock their fighters in the space station to man the turrets, then we go out who boy, to take out the other team's base. Got a whole bunch of Scouts healing your armor, while a whole bunch of enemy player Interceptors and Fighters coming out to get you.

Scouts dies, players in both sides floating in pods as their ships blow up in space. You struggle on, firing missile after missile at the enemy base, blowing it up, everyone going yahooo, but the last desperate defender managed to launch off a torp that slams into your big ship, and whoopee, you and five of your teammates are floating in space in pods, slowly cruising back home.

Ranpostgen: 4 hours, Decked out Sabre, no cheating. Easy.

you are rite .. you will not be level 23 ... you will be higher than that. =)

i gave someone 250K when he joined the server, and he was level 20++ after that!

humpback, full load diamond ... 250 * 1650 = 412500 + ship worth of humpback ... hmmmm

definitely higher than level 23 ..

but if what u say is true .... NEO sux ass! hahahahaha ... bullying people like that is lame .... if they had any balls, they would arrange a proper space-clan war!

Yeah, Leveling is directly related to the overall worth of the player. If you give a new player lots of money you can level him up big time instantly.

Stop whining about NEO's bully tactics and have fun. There bullying will encourage others to group and get them back. That is what PvP is all about. You got to have players/clans that are disliked, so you have an enemy. Otherwise, Multi-Player is no better than single player. PvP isn't just hauling goods with your friends it is suppose to be Player vs. Player, like as in conflict. I would love to go against NEO just for the challenge. So level up organize and conquer them. You can do it, especially if they suck like many say.

PVP is exactly that Player VERSUS Player on an even field.

Neo apparently Base Rapes, NOT PVP. Bullys again not PVP and discourages you from playing if you'll just wind up dead.

So don't say NEO are being "big" and "teaching" you cause they ain't.

Well thats been pwned.

NEO opperates like the Corsairs and Outcast. We fly in groups and take people out. Are you saying the Corsairs and Outcasts are cheap cause they fly in groups? Pirates attack together. NEO likes to terrorize people and thats how it will remain. We toll someitmes and if you pay and don't run your mouth, you're fine. The people that run their mouths are the people that get to enjoy hell in FL.

Also Hand you are an idiot. When a server restarts, the depots in NY respawn. You can blow them up and easily sell their loot to make a very high and nice profit. Not only does this give you money but it also makes you neutral with the criminal factions because you are shooting up police and shipper supply depots. You don't know everything about the game apparently so don't act like you do. Just because someone levels fast does not mean they are automatically cheating. One player could group with them and do 200k+ missions easily.

Actually folks, it is trivially easy to level a newb character up to a decent level in no time flat. There is a ton of different ways to do it:

1: Have a friend give you credits as you first come out of manhattan. Presto: High level!

2: Have a friend who is in a good mission sector. That friend types /invite YOURNAME and you join his group. He then rips off a few missions for 200+k credits, of which you get half the proceeds, even though you are still in Manhattan. At about 100k every ten minutes, the level he attains would seem amazing, but considering the curve on level vs credits, really is not. By sitting there in manhattan he is earning money the New York habitants could only dream of. This trick is also useful for guiding newb players to your location via the automatic waypoint system.

3: It is possible he engaged in a duel or somesuch for a large prize. Or preformed some other service for a well-off player.

There are more possibilities I'm sure I haven't thought of. However, I would bet on option #2 from your description.

To clear up Hand's lil accusation...

Elite did a character wipe due to a bunch of cheating probs.
Once the server came online, pretty much all of NEO logged on. Including me.
We had already devised some strategies on what we would do once the server came up, while the other members would be working together, getting cash as quickly as possible, I (in a character called [NEORUN!) ran like hell to Sigma-13 (I had a pad next to me with the exact coordinates of every jumphole/jumpgate I had to take). During the entire run to Sig-13 I remained at level one, the nonesense about me leveling up before leaving New York that Hand Solo spewed is just that, nonesense. Anyway, I ran to Sig13, scooped up every wreck (I had the coords of those written down as well), and docked at yanagi. I checked my level, and the guns were enough to boost my level to twenty-something.
After a nice chat with the server admin (who also thought I was cheating) I made my [NEOZ0PharX character and went trading.

My unwanted 2 cents.:

I have my own complaints about NEO (Mostly personal...with thier attitude that they think they are the best) But as players...They kick a$$. I have had a few NEO members on my server...But I have never had any complaints of them....except for bullying. But as the previous poster mentioned...It maked PvP more fun.

Some of the members of NEO I don't like...and I will admit that...Most of NEO, I don't know, or have never seen.

They have awesome tactics...some may be borderline shady...but not full blown cheaters.
