Changing Account ID

Well, my old comp finally fritzed out, so I'm using a brand shiny new one which will probably die in a year in a half. But I digress. The point is, I need to know how to change my ID so I can retrieve my character. Through a bit of Safe Mode wrangling, I fritzed the ID from my old account, so I have it now. All I need to do is figure out how to change it, which is baffling me at the moment. I don't have to reinstall, do I?
