Weapon/Hardpoint woes

Greetings! There's a problem i'm having with some custom weapons I'm modding into the game.

I've lookd through the forums and tutorials for a solution, but I haven't found anything that helps me address my problem. Perhaps I haven't looked hard enough or I'm not looking in the right places, but after a week of fruitless searching I've decided to take the more direct route and ask for help

The problem is as follows:

I've been able to get my custom weapon models into the game, but I can't seem to make them properly rotate in more than one axis. I'd like my weapon to behave in the same manner as the arm that holds the beam rifle in Archedyne's Strike Gundam mod. The weapon needs to track the aiming reticule both horizontally and vertically. Currently, I can only get my weapon to either of 2 things:

- Track left-to-right
- Track left-and-up or right-and-down

Obviously I'm missing something here since Archedyne's mod clearly has a weapon that behaves in the way I want it to behave. Can someone offer any insights as to what I need to do in order to get this working right? Thanks in advance for any help forthcoming. Cheers!

Followup:

It occurred to me that I may not have provided enough information in my last post. Here is what I currently have:

- The weapon CMP, exported from MS3D using the CMP exporter plugin. It has all necessary LOD models.

- Added hardpoints to the CMP using HardCMP. All hardpoints connected to ROOT.
- HpMount (fixed, axis 0,0,0)
- HpConnect (revolute, axis 0,1,0, Min/Max -30/30)
- HpFire01 (fixed, axis 0,0,0)

- Gun and Munition definitions in Weapon_Equip.ini and good definitions in weapon_good.ini

The weapon is available and usable in-game. All I need is for it is to rotate vertically AND horizontally (right now in only rotates in the X-asix).

Alrighty then! It seems that I've managed to solve my problem on my own. Much to my chagrin, I actually found the tutorial that would have given me the info I needed *after* I stumbled upon the solution.

ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam anyone? or the GP02A Physalis perhaps?
