Commodities and Weapon Properties

I've looked around and don't think that anyone has addressed this. If they have sorry, and just point me in the right direction.

My question is; Is it possible to add weapon properties to commotities. (cargo) As in, buyu a ceirtian cargo, then jettison it and have it perforn a weapon function.
Example: Buy X Cargo at base. Launch, then jettison the cargo, and it
a. Blows up
or
b. launches a missle.
somthing along those lines, i've strained my brain alot already trying to think opf a way, but my knowledge is limited.

you can make an explosion arch with damage, like missiles etc and assign that to the cargo's loot crate archetype - make the loot crate 1hitpoint, or make your collision damage constant a little stronger and make the hitpoints whatever you want - voila a cargo bomb (give it enough mass and it will fly ballistically on ejection)

cool, thanks, does anyone know if you can have a jettisoned cargo crate launch a missile too?

oh and i must be having a bad day, where would you change the explosions for that sot of thing?

2. i dont know/remember ;(


EDIT: however, you might be able to give the cargo box itself the model of a missile....just HOW you would go about it would take me days i dont have to figure out, but i believe it just might be possible. intriguing idea, certainly original....*steals*.....j/k
