Shadow Planet

i was in cortez, behind curacao, just fooling around, and in the distance i saw a Dark purplish looking planetoid like thingy, i targeted it and it said Unknown Planet, so i turned on cruise towards it, and after getting roughly 1,000 k from curacao, it seemed as if i was getting closer, but still pretty far, care to explain?

I have a feeling thats a certain planet I've been hearing about and wanting to visit. Head there, and maybe you'll have a few chuckles.

I flew behind Curacao just now and didn't see anything but trade lanes, Curacao, a blue dwarf sun, etc. Where is this thing you are talking about? How do I get it in view to target it?

not sure if you see it or not, i just select it, its neutral to me, and it says Unknown Planet, its dark purple, im talking a Badlands like color.

Is that the planet, its def in NY that is like impossible to get to. Theres one that is too close to its sun. I tried going towards it(it said unknown planet) and i just couldnt reach it. It was too HOT! So i gave up cause i just couldnt get near it no matter what angle i tried

Hmmm...

Im at Curaco at the moment - I've flown 85K+ away from the planet and over the star, past Montezuma base etc.. still cant see a planet

I'll try in the other direction... and see if there is anything... trying 1000+K beyond Curacao.

hrm.. the only planetoid looking thing i've run across that fits that description is the neutron star in the omega 41 system.

Im 452K+ out from Curacao and I cant see any other planet

This looks like a wild goose chase !!!!!

There's nothing there DJW, I flew around all last night around there and saw nothing. I love easter eggs but I think this one might just be on the original poster's computer and no one else's.

oKAY moderaters and TLR people, please dont get mad at me. I read once that there is a "planet of the apes" just for laughs. They have ape people in the bar and stuff, but i hear they dont have anything to sell you too bad... once again, dont get mad at me plz!!!

That's true, but that planet is not in Cortez or even remotely close to it. I've been to the monkey planet many times.
