Hmmm...

Someone mentioned recently in the SP story.. you get to hear that you can come by jump drives, allowing you to jump to any part of the FL universe/systems, without the use of Jump Gates or Trade Lanes..

Now, I haven't come across such a thing.. and I was wondering if I missed something ???

Then again it could be that the person that mentioned this to me could be talking a load of Bollox!!!

Its a sad tale of when you mix mind altering drugs, Freelancer, and Babylon 5. But it certainly would make a traders life much easier.

Yeah, no such thing as a jump drive though it would be kind a cool idea. But I suppose no one would build them for the same reason they don't tell you about the jump holes...

I have to agree with DJW. It HAS been mentioned in the early start.
Juni says "Since you don't have a jump-drive, you can't go from one system to the next yet"... anyways... i've also been looking, but it seems there's no such thing. Bad thing though =/

Actually Juni says "you don't have jump ACCESS" which is the codes for jump gates.

DAMN! I was REALLY hoping that there actually WAS a jump-drive somewhere.
Guess trade routes won't be much easier then.... <sigh> ='(
