Scan him and look at his guns. Nomad energy cannons aren't invisible but they're harder to see than a normal laser shot and they can punch right through your shields.

he could be just using nomad weapons, i have a sabre, equipped with 4 nomad cannons, they do about 850 damage to hull per shot. that is a lot!

i usually take ships down in 1 or 2 shots.

Guys read the question, hes got a sabre with lvl10 shields, that means hes packing over 8400 in shield energy and just over 10k in hull strength

now the sabre has 7 forward firing slots, do the maths its an impossibility to strip the shields in one shot and then destory it with the next, if he refused to let you scan him its because hes cheating or hes found some secret combo

I think aswell he cheated, those, you those nomad guns make 600 dmg per shot, with 4 shots per second with 4 guns ... do the math

sabre, titan, and eagle have all enough firepower to make short work of you in 2 seconds. its more than one shot, but its not much more than a blink of an eye

i have other nomad weapons, mine are called "cannon" and they do

hull : 847
shield : 423
refire : 3.03

Lets assume he used 4 nomad cannons.

4 nomad cannons shot twice would amount to 6776dmg.

If you're in a system that has radiation damage, it might explain things. :/

Btw, the Nomad(s) NEVER dropped their Nomad laser, according to my experience.

That's your luck I guess, hunt in the unknown systems for a while and you'll have a ship load of them, though they aren't worth much to the NPCs.. and you really don't want to sell them to human players on a PVP server, lol, you kinda lose your superiority.

And yes, they can make short work of any very heavy fighters.

There's a Macross Saga server?

i have had nomad cannons and nomad blasters and believe me, i can see those shots quite well. they only have 600 speed and 699 range i think, and he destroyed me from much farther out than that. NO VISIBLE PROJECTILE LEFT HIS SHIP, he was usually infront of me, using engine kill to turn and blast me it seemed. his name was nomad_genius. and i dont think it was lag causing an invisible gun effect cuz i never saw a red icon. And he said it himself that it was the laser!!!

Tizona del Sid, Class 9, Corsair weapon. 1242 shield, 40 hull, rate 4. The projectiles this fires is invisible. Makes real short work of shields.

it would take a lot more than those tizonas. and he was at over 1000 range sometimes. was like a rail gun. does anyone think its possible he somehow got a custom weapon on the server?

well, considering there's no ini protection, he probably did just make his own..

i sure hope some good cheat monitoring stuff is released soon so people cant do this crap
