cool pic, I guess I have replace some day the neutron star with the blackhole.

should be not that hard ... though I kinda like how the even horizon is as simple back sphere representat, it looks as it would be massiv and not just emty black space, aswell those two yets could need some work ... hmm maybe thats the reason they did not used the black hole, they get it not looking the way the wanted it without spending to much time on it.

a btw daz, your example of earth compressed, would not create a blackhole
as a blackhole need about 4 solar mass to established, else you could not get a singularity, which means a single point in space, with infinite dense and zero volumen. which is kinda funny, if you think about some thing that is really just a point, and concentrate the mass of several several stars of the sol class.

Wow. So many people. So many slightly flawed views of the universe. The bottom line is that there ARE black holes. They don't necessarily go anywhere. No one knows what they do. They're probably like cornicopeas (sp?) that don't have an opening at the end. Why should they? Because they do in Sci-fi shows like Farscape? The bottom line is that as you compress matter, the volume it takes up is decreased. This changes its state of matter, going from plasma to gas to liquid to solid to... well it's going to have zero mass... then you have negative mass. But you can't have negative mass. This is the point at which theorizing is pointless. So why should it be a "worm hole?" Because humans like to believe that they can warp space to get out of their pathetic solar system. Other examples of these romantic notions are time travel movies where you can tamper with time and make yourself disappear. The bottom line is that the SECOND you're in a previous time, you've changed history. It's all silly, really.
