Low-hanging fruit
E2's guide to becomeing filthy rich, or, at the very least, filthy:
Head over to Yanagi Depot in Sigma-13 with your frieghter of choice
Fill it up with cheap Cardamine or Artifacts and head to the nearby New Berlin jump hole (making sure not to get exploded by Corsairs or whateverthehell)
Dash to the nearest New Berlin tradelane on arrival, as you will be taking it up the tailpipe from Hessians
Thruster yourself over to the docking ring so as to avoid inspection (I haven't been caught in the 4 runs I've made)
Laugh at the ineffectual police force as you unload for boku bucks (you can get about 200k on this short, short run in a Humpback)
Buy a big pimp hat
Load up with Small Arms for ~250 a pop
Go back the same way, making sure not to score a hull breach route
Unload the Arms for ~500
Repeat
Buy ale and whores, start your own crime syndicate, etc

Using this simple formula, I managed to go from lvl 21 or so to lvl 29 in about an hour.
