What the heck is this??

OK, I was in the badlands, travelling from Ithaca to Buffalo (hacked demo that allowed me all ships and all gunz) and I came across this thing.

I took three screenies, but I can't show them here because Tripod doesn't allow linking to images. You'll have to copy-and-paste the links for it to work.

Anyway, there's this glowing point in space that, when I fly towards it, starts showing atmoshpere particles around my ship, but I can fly right into it (see second screenie) without getting hurt. It's not targetable, and it doesn't show up on the map. Anyone have any idea what the heck this thing is?

Anyway, based on what I can see, that's a Worm hole.

There are Wormholes in most hidden/gaseous/debris field areas that allow the criminal factions to move about without having to use the military/police jump gates. You might not have noticed that if you clicked on the object, the dock icon would have lit up, but it wouldn't have allowed you in being the demo

I found that thing when i was playing the demo, apparently its a spoiler so i didnt want to know anymore. Its not a jump hole though, i couldnt select it.

It's on your nav map if you look. Roughtly halfway between the navy base and Pitsburgh. It's not a spoiler and if you read the name, it gives you a clue to what it is.

No Tryst, it appears to be 1/5th the way between Ithica station and Buffalo base. I'm still trying to find it in that vicinity.

Ok, I found it. Just south of 1/5th the way..into the clear area. Yep- no way to identify it in the demo, at least. Intrigueing though. You can fly through it but no acknowledgement from the neuranet. Have fun..

Yeah, It's definitely not a jump hole, I've found three of those though.

It's not a jumphole. It has something to do with the storyline, just wait.
