What a silly thread. Maybe there should be a quota system to make sure every race is properly represented in video games. Maybe Jesse Jackson should have to OK every game before it gets released.

Here's my explanation (don't take this too seriously) A lot of black people are Muslims and Muslims don't drink. Maybe that's why you don't meet them in bars.

I really doubt that the developers are racists, they probably didn't even think about what proportion of the Sirius Sector inhabitants should be what race. I haven't noticed any openly gay NPCs, does that mean the developers hate homosexuals?

Trent hardly comes in contact with a representative slice of the sector's population. Out of 220,000,000 people on Manhattan he meets maybe a dozen.

Let's get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

America, Germany, Britain, Japan and dunno what the last is, pirates?

Germany and britain are mainly white. Japan is ... kinda white

And america ... is a mixture of things, think the majority is white though.

Anyways, why the crap on racism? It's in the future, there was a mass white paint spill and everyone was white all of a sudden. Even worse, it was such a strong white color that the DNA even rewrote itself!

Alas everyone in the future is white.

I used to hate weddings; all the Grandmas would poke me and say, "You're next sonny!" They stopped doing that when i started to do it to them at funerals.

Is it not a possibility that the race boundry was resolved long ago and everybody is a mix of some sort? Juni is probably the only character in the game that has a distinctive skin colour... I even thought the character Takagi was a european at first.

Is it really necessary to point out the lack of african-american skin tone or perhaps natives or other minority groups? You might as well protest the fact that everyone speaks English in the game... Do you really hope for a future where people are seperated by skin colour, language, or class?

Plus it seems like all of the males in the game are arian white with blonde hair blue eyes.

There are asians and other races... space just seems segregated. we just dont fly to those parts of space.

Err, um.. one of the storyline characters is African... Sinclair... You got the whole mix of races. Arabs don't count, didn't you notice Fort BUSH?? Coincidence? We have Houston, Texas, Fort Bush, Manhattan... and think about when this game was put to press. Obviously in this FICTIONAL storyline there are no Arabs because some FICTIONAL Character named Bush wiped them off the face of the planet and got a FICTIONAL space station named after him.

strong white color that the DNA even rewrote itself?? well I can tell you this.. you how everyone gets sun tan's when they are out side alot?? or just get a tan at the beach?? well there are no sunshine much, or any beaches.. so how can you get any tan lines?? or a tan?/ and when you don't get any tans your skin will be always white! cuz theres no sun to darken your skin! lol.
does that explain it?

hmmm the hispania.... i was wondering that myself...

in the original intro (the one with the aliens) i thought they said the hispania was detroyed, but then i when i saw it again they said nothing

so where did they go?????? maybe not to sirius, but at least mention them...

oh and why is rheinland spelled wrong? it should be rhineland, and it even had it like that somewhere

oh yeah go the the universe guid on FL and the fictional background.. the pic w/ three sleeper ships, the far right has RHINELAND on it, not Rheinland

maybe its just a HUGE HUGE across the game typo....

There's a black guy when you get missions at places, the one after you take off to do the mission says "We've uploaded the mission coordinates into your navmap, check it for waypoint data...blah blah blah..." You can see him in your top left as the icon for when someone is hailing you, it's a black guy many times.
